So if you are thinking whether you should buy this phone or not, read this post completely, because by the end you will get everything clear!
Moto Edge 60 5G Honest Review
Unboxing: What do you get in the box?
When I unboxed the Moto Edge 60, I got a phone, USB-C cable, and a 68W charger in the box. But one thing was missing – a cover! Moto does not provide a cover anymore, which is a bit of a disappointment.
Also, there is no pre-applied screen protector, so you will have to look for tempered glass from day one itself. This is a bit of a letdown from Moto, as getting good tempered glass for the curved display is a bit of a problem.
Build Quality: Premium Feel, But a Twist
If we talk about the build quality, the build of the Moto Edge 60 feels quite premium. The back with vegan leather finish, especially in dark color, feels absolutely gorgeous.
I used the Fusion variant, which got a little dirty after 2-3 months, so my suggestion is to always buy a phone in dark color or order a day one cover. There is Gorilla Glass 7 on the display, but minor scratches do occur, then the lack of pre-applied protector is felt.
One big thing – this phone is IP69 rated! I tested it, and despite falling in water, the phone is working perfectly.
Yes, remember, IP rating gives protection, but the warranty does not cover water damage. Still, getting IP69 at this price is a big plus point.

Design: Sleek and Stylish
In terms of design, I personally liked the design of Moto Edge 60 a lot. Curved edges, slim body, and a weight of just 182 grams – this phone feels very comfortable in the hand.
Moto phones feel the same, but this one gives a different premium vibe. That’s all I will say, there is no complaint in the design!
Display: Extreme Cinematic Experience
Now let’s talk about the display of Moto Edge 60. This is a high-resolution AMOLED display, which comes with a curved bezel-less design. Watching 4K content on YouTube and HDR support is a different kind of fun.
The colors are a bit punchy, but accurate colors can be achieved by selecting the natural mode in the settings. There is Widevine L1 support on Netflix, but no HDR support, which felt a bit lacking.
Outdoor visibility is very good, and the in-display fingerprint scanner also works fast. Bas, it is a bit difficult to find tempered glass for the curved display.
Sound Quality: Loud, But Not Perfect
Talking about the sound of Moto Edge 60, you get stereo speakers, which are quite loud and also give a little bass. But at full volume the back panel vibrates a bit, which is noticeable without a cover.
There is no headphone jack, which was also expected at this price. Overall, the multimedia experience is good, but not flagship-level.
Software: Clean, but a little lacking
In terms of software, the Moto Edge 60’s software runs on Android 15 based Hello UI. There is a promise of 3 major updates and security patches for 4 years.
Surprisingly, this time a little bloatware was found, which is not usually found in Moto phones. Animations seem a bit slow and glitchy, which should not happen in a phone of this price.
Features like app lock, dual apps, and internet speed meter are good, but there is no call recording option in Google Dialer.
AI features, like image generation and WhatsApp sticker suggestions, are quite useful. Just need some improvement in software optimization.
Performance: Fine, but lacking in gaming
In terms of performance, the Moto Edge 60 comes with a MediaTek 7400 processor, which is accompanied by UFS 2.2 storage and LPDDR4X RAM. The AnTuTu score is around 7 lakh, which is decent.
The phone is fine for basic tasks, but there is a lag in opening back-to-back apps or camera switching. This phone is not ideal for gaming – it supports up to 60fps, but there is no stability. In the heating test, the phone went up to 42°C, which is manageable, but it is hot.
Camera: Mixed Bag
In terms of camera performance, the Moto Edge 60 has a triple camera setup – 50MP main, ultra-wide, and 10MP telephoto. The colors in the main camera photos look a bit boosted, which is not natural.
The telephoto lens, especially in 3x portrait shots, works quite well – skin tones and edge detection are impressive. The telephoto also performs well in low-light.
The selfie camera is 50MP, but there is over-sharpness in daytime and lack of detail in low-light.
The video quality is good in 4K, but there is a slight lack in stabilization. I have uploaded all the photos on Google Drive, so you can check there.
Battery: Next-level performance
Now let’s talk about the battery of Moto Edge 60, which is the biggest highlight of this phone. 5500mAh battery with 68W fast charging charges fully in 54 minutes.
Despite heavy usage, gaming, and streaming on 5G, I got more than 7 hours of screen-on time, and 19% battery was left. This battery life is next-level in this price range!
Network & Call Quality: Slight drawback
5G connectivity is quite strong in network performance, and Vivo NR support is also available.
There is an option of Dual SIM or one SIM + SD card. There was a slight problem in call quality – background noise is not cancelled outdoors, and voice clarity is average.
Conclusion: Should you buy it or not?
So friends, Moto Edge 60 is a balanced phone. Premium design, great battery life, IP69 rating, and good telephoto camera are its plus points. But there are some shortcomings in software optimization, camera color accuracy, and gaming performance.
If battery life and design are your priority, then this phone is a solid choice. But if gaming or camera accuracy is your priority, then you may want to look at other options.
